Pimple Popping - A Good Way To Get Rid Of Acne?

Today, each and every person irrespective of sex, age, caste, color, or country has developed quite a good sense and degree of beauty consciousness. All would like to have a clean, pimple-free face that exudes glowing, smooth and wrinkle-free skin.
Unfortunately, in recent years it has become very rare to come across clear, smooth skin that is devoid of pimples or some type of acne.
This may be due to the varying climatic conditions in which we live, or perhaps the regular intake of junk and oily food, or the fact that we fail to drink sufficient water each day, along with many other reasons.
Normally, it is our tendency to pop a pimple as soon as it sprouts on the face. To make matters worse, if we happen to notice a little yellow colored pus at the head, there is no need to mention our tension that we feel and at the same time our fascination to pop that zit!
But truly speaking, many times pimple popping is of little benefit and more often causes additional problems. We may be thinking after our zit popping session that we have eliminated our chance of it reoccurring or having further outbreaks in that area. However, the real fact is that pimple popping can be very harmful to the skin. It may not only damage the outer layer of the skin, but it could also have an affect deep inside the skin cells.
If you pop the pimple with the help of your nails or a safety pin, the pus which is filled to the pimple's brim may come out. However, at the same time, we normally continue to press that particular area with our fingers so we clear out any remaining pus that might not be visible to the naked eye. And this is where the rubber hits the road and the chance of making a blunder skyrockets.
Subconsciously we think the more we press, the better our chance of getting every last bit of that pus and being done with it once and for all. However, the reality is that we are pushing the inner follicles of the cells deep inside the skin, which in turn pushes the pus, debris and bacteria deeper into the skin. This leaves behind swelling, redness, irritation, inflammation, and eventually a scar may form.
In addition, this process provides a good foundation for the harmful bacteria to thrive successfully under the skin and spread over parts of the face that have not previously been infested with acne. Unfortunately, within two to three days, a new crop of pimples have sprouted.
The best way to get rid of acne is to be patient, cleanse and treat appropriately, and leave those dog-gone pimples alone to work their way out of the skin naturally.
To remove impurities from the skin, cleanse the face twice a day using a gentle water-soluble cleanser. Exfoliate the skin two to three times a week using a product that contains salicylic acid. This is a wonderful ingredient that will help to eliminate excess oils and slough off dead skin cells. Treat the skin with an acne treatment product that will help prevent new acne blemishes from forming, balance the skin, along with repairing damaged skin. Use a light water-based moisturizer to hydrate and balance the skin. One to two times a week, use a clarifying mask to absorb excess oil and remove impurities.
